Allied Irish Capital Management

Equity Index Program

There is no performance data for this program

The Equity Index Program is designed to earn significant returns by capturing systematically driven price movements in equity index futures from around the world. Among the markets traded are; S&P 500, FTSE 100, Matif, DAX, NIKKEI, All Ordinaries and the Hang Seng Index. The analysis of economic fundamentals, and the process of determination of value in interest rates, bond prices and currencies provides the starting point for their view of equity indices. After the basic fundamentals of an economy are reviewed, the value of each stock market is assessed in relation to long and short rates and price/earnings ratios. Strong use is made of chart analysis as an aid to trading. Break-outs from congestion areas allied with strong fundamental views create particularly strong trading signals. Charts of many other equity indices than those traded are also examined as Allied Irish believes strongly that trends can be detected in advance in related markets. Risk management was designed specifically to control drawdown levels.
