Program Description: The philosophy of Coral Rock Investments (CRI) with respect to managing currencies is that a rigorous and disciplined application of a technically based trading system, enhanced by fundamental review, can add to the total return of an investor. Given the size and liquidity of the foreign exchange markets a technical system, in the opinion of CRI, is the most effective way to trade. Accordingly, CRI has developed a proprietary, technical system known as Value Added Trading (VAT). VAT identifies overall trends by capturing market information such as trading volume and rapidity of change to develop moving averages. It then uses a combination of long-, medium- and short-term moving averages to identify momentum. Finally, VAT identifies the entry and exit points and the “stop-loss” levels. Stop losses always trail short positions and rise above long positions. In practice, VAT has a dampening effect on volatility which in turn minimizes the risk component inherent in the markets.
