Program Description: Dr. J. Richard Crow bases his trading program combination of both technical and fundamental analysis. It is Dr. Crow’s beleif that fundamental factors are the driving force behind the eventual movement of market prices and therefore should be viewed as the major decision making factor. However, technical factors are not totally disregarded. Dr. Crow beleives that extended market moves are sometimes the result of certain technical factors and therefore must also be watched. Fundamental analysis helps to determine comparison of reward/risk ratios for commodities under consideration for trade. Whichever direction appears to provide the most potential for price movement will usually dictate long or short positions. Further opportunities for profit are looked for in spread tradings. Dr. Crow utilizes options on futures as a way to hedge or limit the inherent risk in futures trading and to achieve higher reward/risk ratios. Dr. Crow only trades futures on agricultural raw materials and products.
