Program Description: Cipher Investment Management was organized by Alejandro Knoepffler in 1994 prior to which he worked for Metallgesellschaft Corp. as a consultant trading in house money and helping them to build a money management business. For the six years prior to that he worked with Mint Investment Management as Systems Director. The trading approach that Mr. Knoepffler has developed over the years is based on an investment philosophy that above average returns coupled with minimal account volatility can be accomplished through a well diversified portfolio adhering to strict risk management principles. A variety of trading methods are used to make investment decisions incorporating both technical and fundamental analysis. Each method is allocated a percentage of the portfolio in order to create individual profit centers for ongoing monitoring and restructuring.
