The objective of Spectrum's Trading Program is to achieve substantial capital appreciation through speculative trading in futures interest contracts, while taking reasonable steps to reduce volatility and protect capital. No assurance can be given that this objective will be met, and an investment in a Managed Account pursuant to the Trading Program should only be considered by investors that can assume the significant risk associated with futures interest contract trading. Spectrum's Trading Program is a systematic trading program that consists of multiple computerized, trading systems (each a "System") designed by Michael Songer that are diversified across markets, methodologies, time frames and holding periods. The Trading Program trades in approximately 60 different global futures markets, including, but not limited to, financials, currencies, grains, metals, softs, energies, softs, meats and stock indices. Although there is no predetermined minimum level of portfolio diversification, the Trading Advisor does not expect to hold positions in less than 20 markets at any given time. The Systems use a variety of methodologies and have both trend following and countertrend components. In addition, the Systems use a range of different time frames for analyzing data (e.g. daily, weekly and monthly), and have varying holding periods ranging from approximately 10 to 65 days (although in certain instances such holding periods may be longer or shorter). The multiple system approach employed by Spectrum is designed to provide profit potential in different market environments.
