The Hanseatic Discretionary Program uses a wide variety of futures, domestic and foreign, and is based on taking any or all futures signals generated by the Haseatic technical model. The system utilizes leverage and is consequently highly volatile. Hanseatic takes a systematic trade approach utilizing proprietary technical models in an attempt to provide favorable risk-adjusted returns to investors. They combine a pattern recognition system with over eighteen years of personal market experience. One of the keys to Hanseatic’s approach is selectivity. Trades are initiated only after Hanseatic has searched and identifies specific patterns that historically have show a high confidence level for trading success. Predetermined profit and stop loss levels are typically not used. Hanseatic looks for their trading models to determine a lack of profit opportunity in the marketplace at which time a neutral stance will be taken. The central theme to the Hanseatic’s trading philosophy is diversification with a focus on providing investors profitable non-correlated performance by utilizing a very selective trading process to make high probability return to risk trades.
